Canada's Outdoor Heritage Needs Our Help

The Canadian Wildlife Conservation Partners (CWCP) is a group of diverse organizations with the common goals of conserving wildlife and their habitats, and enhancing/protecting our hunting and trapping heritage.

Our Mission

CWCP organizations are committed to working together on areas of common interest, such as:

  • Building unity among partner organizations and affiliated organizations, and increasing collective effectiveness

  • Maintaining and communicating a vision for wildlife conservation and their sustainable use across Canada

  • Developing and pursuing implementation of recommendations for Governments to achieve the vision

Each CWCP organization cherishes our heritage activities and works to conserve and enhance our outdoor spaces and wildlife. We know hunters, trappers and our fellow outdoors men and women are the most ardent conservationists in Canada, and CWCP will stand up for them while advocating for proper scientific management of wildlife and their habitats.

When an issue arises, our partner organizations step up and stand together to encourage legislators to put hunting, trapping and conservation at the forefront of their decisions. Click the button below to see our latest letters and communications.

Why Join the CWCP?

1

Action

This partnership will both respond to challenges and restrictions on our outdoor way of life and advocate for positive changes and new opportunities throughout Canada. We have all felt the weight of government decisions that impact our ability to enjoy our heritage activities, whether it is firearm restrictions, regulatory changes, or movements to impede our access to public resources, we need to unite as one during these times to ensure our collective voice is heard.

2

Collaboration

For far too long, we have been operating in silos  and divided by governments. It is time we stand together collectively as the millions of Canadians who enjoy the great outdoors. By uniting, governments will receive strong and clear signals from our robust and organized community.

3

Inclusivity

This approach will work by respecting each other’s opinions, finding common ground, and working together to hold governments accountable in making decisions that impact our way of life. Through our diverse membership, the CWCP will be uniquely equipped to create well-informed and influential policy proposals to encourage government to make decisions that support our outdoor heritage.
